Center on the activity of ‘Reading Joy’ in April, in order to enrich the campus cultural life and promote the culture of Chinese characters, each class of Grade 3 of the Primary Section carried out the ‘Disciple Gauge’ writing competition, which aims to showcase students' calligraphy style, enhance students' awareness of writing standard characters and using standard characters, promote students to develop good writing habits and inherit traditional Chinese culture.
At the competition site, all the students sat upright, held pens properly, looked focused, and meticulously wrote every stroke and every Chinese character. Additionally, some of the works were elegant, skillful and clear while some works were featured in generous stretch, smooth strokes and neat lines.
To sum up, the competition systematically combined the charm of calligraphy with classical culture so that students could feel the charm of Sinology on the basis of correct writing.
